Do black bears have the capability of killing a moose

bear, moose

The link below is an actual video of a black bear attacking and killing a fair-sized moose calf for food.
It is estimated by Ontario Biologists that more than 25,000 new-born moose calves are killed and eaten by carnivorous black bears every spring. (Approximately 50,000 are born.)
Boar bears (males) have also been know to kill and eat their own cubs if the female bear and cubs are still in the same area as the boar.
There are several documented incidents of Ontario residents being killed by black bears in the past, so don’t let the Animal Alliance or other animal rights groups take your money with their stories of the poor bears being misunderstood and mistreated cuddly creatures that need your help.
