Hello to all members

As the main page says, ''Log in and add your 2 cents''.''We need your participation''.

So here goes. In the coming months ,i will relate to you several encounters, at times downright dangerous that has occurred between myself(my friends) and '' YANKEES'' (lodge operators & clients). My friends and I have been trying to fight these lodge operators & MNR for over 20 years now, at times even going to court (story later) , because there are over 60 lakes and counting in the Timmins, Foleyet, Gogama area that are off limits to local anglers. If you are not a american you can't fish these lakes.  In the late 90's we had a petition with over 5000 names, trying to stop these ''Road Closures''. The petition was brought to are provincial MPP, and his response was , quote ''you will never win this fight, the AMERICANS have to much money at stake. These lakes now belong to them , go fish somewhere else''. When your government does not care especially the MNR, it is very difficult to fight back.

In my opinion, LEGAL action against the MNR, is the only way to bring this fight in the open, for ALL anglers & hunters to respond to.

TO ALL ANGLERS AND HUNTERS TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS SITE http://www.ontora.ca (ontario outdoors recreational alliance)

Hey Austen, hope the new developments have given you some optimism.

The media is involved and OntORA has been requested to attend a meeting in Toronto with senior MNR people.
