When you're planning your fishing trips you'd best do some research if unfamiliar with the lakes.

Little Missanaibi Lake in the Chapleau area here is a class example and we hear it's not alone in this category, see the exert from a letter here that one of our members received as an explanation to a query. This lake has a buffer zone around it with access restrictions to members of the public besides these additional regs.

1/ No motorboats are permitted, except by tourist outfitters and their clients. This use will be assessed and reviewed.

2/ All aircraft landing within the park requires prior authorization from the park superintendent through a valid aircraft landing permit operators . Commercial tourism will be permitted to land aircraft in the wilderness zone to access their Land Use Permits (LUP). Aircraft landing in wilderness zones is a nonconforming use, however these LUPs pre-existed the park and will be permitted to continue, however this may be reviewed in the future.
