The Wawa District MNR has been erecting signs that prevent public vehicular access for the first two weeks of moose season on many roads in the Magpie Forest near Dubreuilville.
MNR documents say it's to prevent a potential conflict between hunters staying as guests of so called remote based lodges and road-based hunters aka the tax paying public.
We hear that this past fall the MNR adopted a we'll show you policy and closed the roads for the full season, that a complaint to Mike Brown when he was visiting Dubreuilville resulted in the removal of at least one sign
Does anyone have any further information on this?
